Daniel Dahlgren Lindström

I work as a PhD student at the Department of Diagnostics and Intervention at Umeå University. My research focuses on developing methods to measure the flow of cerebrospinal fluid between the brain tissue and its surroundings based on mathematical modeling and image analysis of quantitative MRI data. The overall goal of my dissertation work is to contribute to the understanding of the role of cerebrospinal fluid in transporting metabolic residues and whether disturbances in its flow dynamics can be linked to neurological diseases, with a focus on Alzheimer's dementia.
