Ivan Huuva

I support various projects in biomedical engineering. At the moment, my focus is on studies in motion analysis using wearable IMU sensors that measure accelerations, angular velocities, and the direction of the Earth's magnetic field. The IMU measurements are used to characterize the movement patterns of people with impairments in movement or balance in order to increase the understanding of, and improve the treatment of, the underlying conditions that cause these problems. I have previously done research in remote sensing, where I investigated changes in forests using various techniques based on synthetic-aperture radar.
